Newcastle United have reportedly bid £25 million for Club Brugge striker Emmanuel Bonaventure Dennis, according to The Sun.
The Magpies are on the lookout for new players during the transfer window. Steve Bruce is in the middle of a sizeable injury crisis and knows reinforcements must be made.
Dennis has scored eight goals in 26 appearances for the Belgian outfit this season. His most memorable goals came in a 2-2 draw against Real Madrid when he notched a brace at the Bernabeu.

The Nigerian signed for Brugge in 2017 from Ukranian outfit Zorya Luhansk.
It’s pretty clear that Bruce is in need of options in his attack. Joelinton has struggled since his £40 million summer transfer, Andy Carroll is out of form and Dwight Gayle is yet to score this season.
Newcastle have slipped down the Premier League table in recent weeks and their business in the transfer market this month could determine what sort of season they go onto have.
TBR View – Newcastle must avoid a repeat of big-money flop
It might sound harsh to criticise him after just 21 Premier League appearances but Joelinton has been a catastrophic signing.
For £40 million (BBC) it was anticipated he would be a little bit more effective in front of goal.
He has scored just once this season, registering two assists for the Magpies since arriving from Hoffenheim.

Last season the Bundesliga he only managed seven goals and his signing already looks like a massive failure.
Newcastle can’t afford for lightning to strike twice. Landing another unknown quantity in Dennis would represent a massive risk.
If the Magpies are going to plunge £25 million on a striker, they’d be far better off landing someone with Premier League experience already under their belt.
