Newcastle United reportedly have an interest in attacker Remi Oudin from French top-flight club Stade Reims.

According to the Sun, the Magpies and Watford have both been tracking the Ligue 1 ace.

It is understood that Watford have seen a £7million offer turned down, as Reims are looking to recoup at least £10million from his potential sale.

The report details Newcastle have held talks with Reims about their player, but are yet to submit an official bid for him.

Meanwhile, Nice and Fiorentina are also mentioned as potential suitors for Oudin too.

Oudin is a left-footed attacker that has caught the eye in Ligue 1 this season and could turn out being a £10million bargain.

The Frenchman made 39 appearances across all competitions for Reims, scoring 11 goals and supplying three assists in return.

Oudin is a versatile attacker that can play anywhere across the frontline, but has found a lot of success on the right cutting inside to his favoured left foot.

The 22-year-old is a promising talent that is only going to improve with more experience and found the step up this season to Ligue 1 fairly comfortable.

Newcastle need more attacking firepower at St James’ Park, as defensively they are one of the best in the Premier League outside the top six.

There is likely to be question marks about whether or not Oudin can cut it in the Premier League, but he looks a natural finisher and at his age is worth a shot.
