Newcastle United are reportedly eyeing Roma attacker Nicolo Zaniolo.
According to the Chronicle, the Magpies have checked on the 19-year-old sensation that has made a Serie A breakthrough this season.
It is understood that manager Rafael Benitez is unsure on how much he’ll have to spend at St James’ Park in the summer and whether the Roma playmaker would be within reach.
The report details that European heavyweights Real Madrid and Juventus are also interested in the Italian teenager alongside the Premier League club.
Even if Newcastle do have funds for Zaniolo, it would be a miracle from Benitez if he was able to add him to his squad.

Zaniolo is an emerging talent in Italy that is becoming an important first teamer for Roma and should only get better with age.
He’s a versatile attacker that can play as a right-winger or behind the striker, with his mazy dribbling and eye for goal a key part of his game.
The youngster has made 27 senior appearances across all competitions this season, scoring five goals and supplying two assists in return.
Zaniolo made his mark in the Champions League with two goals against Porto and it would be genius from Benitez if he could strike a Newcastle deal over the likes of Madrid and Juventus.
