Newcastle United appear to be on the search for some attacking reinforcements in January and have been linked with a number of different wide players.
According to he Northern Echo, the Magpies want to sign speed machine Ademola Lookman from German top-flight club RB Leipzig.
It is understood though that the Bundesliga outfit don’t want to lose any of the £22.5million they paid for him.
The report also names Jarrod Bowen as a potential target for Steve Bruce’s side from English Championship team Hull City.
It is claimed that £20million could strike a deal for him, but that Newcastle are not willing to meet that asking price.
Newcastle should decide to focus on a potential swoop for Bowen this month and go all out to try land him.
Lookman is an exciting left-winger that has rapid speed and is a great dribbler, but has struggled to make a serious name for himself at senior level.
The 22-year-old has only managed four first-team games this season at Leipzig due to a lack of form, while his previous time in the Premier League saw him struggle to cut the grade.
Newcastle should look at Bowen as the target they really need moving forward and be prepared to pay big money for him.
The right-winger has scored a sensational 17 goals in 29 games across all competitions this term for Hull and definitely looks good enough to make the step up to the Premier League.
He is a left-footed wide player that can clearly chip in with goals and that’s what Newcastle are crying out for.
