Newcastle United midfielder Jack Colback remains completely frozen out at St. James’ Park, failing to make a single appearance for the Toon this season – and Toon fans have urged Nottingham Forest to take him back.
Colback, 30, failed to be named in Newcastle’s 25-man Premier League squad last summer even with Steve Bruce replacing Rafa Benitez. The former Sunderland man has failed to play for Newcastle since the year The Toon gained promotion.
Instead, Colback spent the second half of the 2017-18 campaign and then the 2018-19 season on loan at Nottingham Forest. Sabri Lamouchi opted against luring him back to the County Ground at the start of the 2019-20 campaign.

Despite enormous experience, clocking up 178 appearances in the Premier League, Colback is set to leave Newcastle in the summer window – if The Toon’s prospective new owners can find a buyer for the left-footed midfielder.
Though he turns 31 in October, Colback could still be a very decent option for a Championship side ahead of the 2020-21 campaign – with Newcastle likely to accept offers even of a free transfer for the midfielder.
Newcastle supporters reacted on Twitter to rumours over a potential Forest return, and many have urged the Championship side – who are in with a shout of promotion – to lure Colback back.
