Newcastle United’s reportedly imminent takeover continues to see the club linked with big-name players, and Real Betis playmaker Nabil Fekir is the latest star to be linked with a move to Tyneside – and Toon supporters have reacted.
Fekir, 26, is currently impressing in Spain for La Liga outfit Real Betis after the France international chose to leave Lyon last summer, where he was captain. He has since had a hand in 13 La Liga goals during his 22 appearances for Betis.
The magician almost joined Liverpool in the summer of 2018, having had a medical – but he remained at Lyon for another season before joining Betis. He had scored 69 goals in 193 Lyon outings, creating a whopping 46 assists too.

Now, Newcastle could bring Fekir to the Premier League for the first time. That is because French outlet Foot Mercato have claimed The Toon have shortlisted the French ace, ahead of the summer window.
The report claims Newcastle are also keen on Paris Saint-Germain striker Edinson Cavani and Napoli colossus Kaildou Koulibaly but if Newcastle want to sign Fekir – they may have to part with a whopping £43million.
Newcastle supporters have reacted on Twitter to the news that Fekir is a possible signing this summer for The Toon amid the potential takeover – and many believe he would be an excellent signing for the new club.
