With the January transfer window fast approaching, it is no secret that Newcastle United will once again hope to be busy.
Rafa Benitez is constantly looking to bring in new players, although Mike Ashley’s tight control of the finances significantly limit his ability to do that.
But there is one double deal that Newcastle should be eager to complete in January.
According to The Mirror, Newcastle have entered the race to sign Ruben Loftus-Cheek on loan from Chelsea.
The England international is not satisfied with being a bit-part player and he could move on loan in January after making just four substitute appearances in the league this season.
But there is a major stumbling block preventing him from moving to Newcastle.
Chelsea have already loaned Kenedy to the Magpies and as per the Premier League regulations, Newcastle are unable to sign two players on loan from another top flight side.

There are two solutions which would allow them to land Loftus-Cheek; either Newcastle terminate Kenedy’s loan or sign him permanently.
The latter has to be more appealing. Even though Kenedy is inconsistent, the 22-year-old has raw talent and he is improving at Newcastle.
Chelsea would probably be open to selling the versatile Brazilian and this would give Newcastle a fighting chance of signing Loftus-Cheek on loan.
With West Ham, Crystal Palace, Bournemouth and Schalke also keen on Loftus-Cheek, Newcastle would have to put this plan into place in early January.
