In the summer transfer window, Newcastle United were reportedly keen on Middlesbrough wonder-kid Bilal Brahimi.

According to reports in France, Brahimi was on the radar of Newcastle, as well as Real Betis, Valencia, Everton and Liverpool.

And this is a move that Newcastle should definitely reconsider as they aim to bolster their squad for the future.

Brahimi is a young man with tremendous potential. He has been thriving at youth level since moving to England from Portugal.

Last season, the 18-year-old racked up an incredible tally of eight goals and 14 assists assists in 25 youth team games for Boro.

A first-team promotion cannot be far off for the talented winger, but Newcastle should try to poach him.

The Paris-born attacker predominantly features on the left flank, although he is comfortable coming off the right or playing as a centre-forward too.

With a proven track record of goals and assists at Middlesbrough, the Frenchman is definitely worth taking a punt on.

Boro will be determined to keep him as they rate him as one of their best young players.

But Newcastle could lure him to the club with the future prospect of Premier League football and the chance to develop his game under Rafa Benitez.
