Ayoze Perez has once again gone under the radar for Newcastle United and is one of the unsung heroes at St James’ Park.

The Spanish attacker has weighed in with 12 goals in 40 games across all competitions this season and his immense work-rate makes him a key player in Rafael Benitez’s side.

They should do everything to keep the 25-year-old in their main plans moving forward, but he’s admitted he would be open to hearing about potential offers in the summer (Mirror).

Newcastle should try secure his long-term future, but if they are to lose him at the end of the season they should be demanding a hefty price.

According to the Northern Echo, Napoli and Real Betis could fight for the signature of Perez in the summer.

The report details that Benitez would want to keep him if he stays next year and that he is valued at £20million.

Newcastle would be foolish to cash in on Perez for £20million, as he’s worth a lot more in the current market.

The versatile attacker is a major goal threat out wide and formed part of an eye-catching front trio alongside Miguel Almiron and Salomon Rondon.

Perez has shown the kind of form this season to make Newcastle ramp his valuation up and make any potential suitors dig deep in their pockets to sign him.
