It is being reported Harry Winks could be sold by Tottenham Hotspur if they land Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.
The Southampton midfielder is thought to be a target for Jose Mourinho, with the 24-year-old having recently made his intentions to leave St. Mary’s clear – which resulted in him losing the captaincy.

As reported by the Mirror, Winks is the most likely player to leave the club if Spurs do land £25 million-rated Hojbjerg – which is something that could place a number of clubs on alert.
One club that should be watching the situation closely, is Newcastle United.
The Magpies are going to have to strengthen their midfield ahead of 2020/21 as currently, there aren’t many technical options at Steve Bruce’s disposal.

There has also been some speculation regarding the future of Matty Longstaff – whose contract is up at the end of the 2019/20 campaign.
The Independent are reporting Bruce will make a final plea for the youngster to stay, but losing him would mean Newcastle would have to look at replacements.
TBR’s View – Winks would be super Newcastle signing
Winks would potentially be a great signing for Newcastle.

At the moment, Jonjo Shelvey is the only midfielder with a degree of technical quality, which shines through in his passing range.
Winks is particularly strong at receiving the ball under pressure and popping it off or wriggling away and breaking the lines.
Attributes like that are invaluable in the game today, with many teams looking to build from the back.
A successful Spurs deal for Hojbjerg would certainly be a kick in the teeth for Winks as there is already a lot of competition, so Newcastle should undoubtedly be watching closely.
