Newcastle United are in dire need of bolstering their ranks in the January transfer window.
The Magpies may have a huge war-chest, but they’re in a Premier League relegation fight.
In addition, Newcastle have numerous players out of action.

The Magpies’ midfield and attack has been seriously depleted in recent weeks.
But according to reports from Turkey, Newcastle are now closing in on a loan move for an “incredible” playmaker.
Takvim has claimed that the Magpies have been in “constant talks” with the agent of Yusuf Yazici.
The 24-year-old Turkey international currently plays for reigning Ligue 1 champions Lille.
However, Takvim claims Yazici is “definitely” leaving Lille in the January transfer window.
The Turkish outlet claims the French outfit is ready to sanction a loan until the end of the season.
Yazici has struggled for regular game time this season, with just five league starts.
The Takvim report suggests that the £10million-rated ace will “cross paths” with Cyle Larin at St James’ Park.

Last season, Yazici registered seven goals and four assists in the league for Lille en route to the title.
But as he’s now struggling for game time, a loan move to Newcastle makes sense.
“Yazici is a versatile creative midfield player who can play at left wing or right wing,” the Daily Mail wrote last year.
“But (he) really comes alive in the centre behind the striker,”
The outlet also quotes Mesut Ozil as telling Hurriyet in 2018: “Yusuf Yazici is an amazing No 10.
“We have a lot of similarities and I see myself in him.
“His left foot, his position, his close passing and calmness on the ball.
“We will see Yusuf at a big European club in the near future.”
