Newcastle sent scouts to watch fantastic Florian Wirtz

Newcastle are scouting Bayer Leverkusen sensation Florian Wirtz.

The young German is a fantastic player and would improve almost every side in Europe.

The incredible youngster is just 18-years-old.

Yet this hasn’t stopped him from breaking records and winning plaudits from all over.

He was rewarded for his September form with the Bundesliga Player of the Month award (

Now, though, it seems that Newcastle are looking to poach the incredible star.

According to Bild, the Magpies have sent scouts to watch the impressive midfielder.

It doesn’t take a lot to realise that Wirtz is one of the best attacking midfielders in the game.

At just 18-years-old, he’s already contributed 22 goals and assists in just 44 Bundesliga games (Transfermarkt).

This season alone he’s scored six and assisted six in 11 games.

His form is simply incredible and it’s no surprise that there are eyes on the teenager.

A move to Newcastle could be the next step for Wirtz.

However, with the Geordies currently looking to avoid relegation and Bayer Leverkusen not prepared to let Wirtz go this looks difficult.

The report claims that Leverkusen don’t want to contemplate letting Wirtz go until 2023.

That could coincide with the rise of Newcastle.

Should they avoid relegation this season and start their ascent to the top of the game, 2023 could be perfect.

Wirtz could spearhead the charge of the St. James’ Park faithful in two years time.

Seeing as he’ll then be 20-years-old, Wirtz will be older, more experienced and hopefully ready to chance his arm in the Premier League.

Any move that sees the German teen move to England would be incredibly exciting.

For it to happen, though, a lot of money will have to be spent.

Fortunately, in the Northeast, it no longer appears that money is an issue.
