Newcastle United are reportedly considering a move for Leeds United winger Crysencio Summerville, who has recently been wanted by the Magpies.

The 22-year-old forward has been sensational for the Whites in the Championship this season, with Summerville scoring 12 goals and assists six in the English second-tier.

And to the shock of few, interest is now starting to emerge for Summerville, who for some time has been regarded as one of Leeds’ most exciting prospects.

Which brings us to today, with Football Transfers reporting that Newcastle are interested in signing Summerville this January, with the Dutch youngster being scouted by the Toon.

A player who Newcastle-linked Kalvin Phillips praised last week, it’s clear that the Premier League is calling for Summerville to return this year.

And Newcastle could be the club that brings the winger back to the English top-flight, with the Toon an ideal club for Summerville this January.

Given how good Summerville has been for Leeds this season and now limited Newcastle’s funds are this window, all signs point towards this deal potentially taking place later this year.

As we know, the Magpies are limited to mainly loan deals this month, with Newcastle in need of complying with FFP regulations if they’re to avoid sanctions.

And this means that a move for Summerville could be better off being put on hold until the summer, where Newcastle will be in a much stronger financial position.

Moreover, should Leeds miss out on promotion to the Premier League, signing Summerville could be a walk in the park for Newcastle, with the winger clearly desperate to return to the English top-flight.
