Newcastle United midfielder Sean Longstaff has addressed the recent speculation linking him with a move to Manchester United.
The 21-year-old has been linked with a move to Old Trafford this summer, after a breakout season in 2018/19.

Longstaff was handed his debut by former manager Rafa Benitez after injuries to Mo Diame and Jonjo Shelvey, with Ki Sung-yueng departing mid-season for international duty.
He played eight games for the club alongside Isaac Hayden, before suffering a season-ending knee injury against West Ham United in March.
Longstaff really impressed despite only a handful of appearances, and he’s now commented on the recent interest in him.

He said (Chronicle): “It’s in the hands of other people now. Like I said before, I’m fully focused on being back fit for the start of the Premier League season.
“To have your name mentioned with those top clubs is obviously great, but, for me, it’s about working as hard as I can for Newcastle and getting back.”
TBR’s view
Longstaff’s final comment there should offer Newcastle fans huge hope that the club’s best youngster will stay.

The Englishman is seen as something of a shining light at the club, and there are hopes the Geordie can perhaps go on to become a club legend.
To hear that he is concentrating on the Magpies ahead of the new season will be a big lift, and it would seem Newcastle’s £50 million valuation (Sky Sports) has successfully fended off Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Red Devils.
