Newcastle United are trying to get ahead of the game for January and have now made their move for Stuttgart striker, Serhou Guirassy.
Guirassy is flying in the Bundesliga this season with 19 goals already and his form has attracted the attention of a number of clubs in England.
Tottenham are among those who are keen on Guirassy, while Manchester United are also thought to hold the striker in high-regard.
However, according to Fussball Transfers, it is Newcastle United who have also now ‘come knocking’ for Guirassy ahead of the January window.
Newcastle make their move for Serhou Guirassy
According to the report, Guirassy is wanted by a number of clubs in Italy and England.
Manchester United get a mention again as one of those from the Premier League, while Serie A giants Roma and AC Milan are also in the mix.

It’s reported how Milan would like to sign Guirassy but his desire for a £5m-a-year salary is causing issues for the Serie A club.
Of course, money is not tight for Newcastle in terms of wage structure but they do need to remain within FFP barriers in terms of overall spend in the market.
Guirassy has a release-clause of £15m and is expected to find a move in January despite doing so well in Stuttgart and the German side wanting to keep him.
Newcastle need signings
A new striker might not be highest on Eddie Howe’s list but Newcastle do need to be active in January to try and get over their recent slump.
Alexander Isak and Callum Wilson are both excellent forwards but both have had injury problems and that’s where a deal for Guirassy might come in useful.
The big striker is quite the handful and is clearly riding an impressive wave in terms of form. At £15m, he’s a bargain in terms of modern day markets and could well be worth the punt.
Newcastle have have had bad injuries as we know. Signing a few in January, then, could give them the boost they need to get back to winning ways.
