Newcastle United have a rich history of developing academy stars into first-teamers.
Lewis Miley is the shining example of that notion currently whilst Paul Gascoigne is a notable case from the past.
Elliot Anderson was held in high regard during his time on Tyneside but Newcastle were forced to sanction his sale earlier in the summer to avoid breaching Profit and Sustainability regulations.

Alfie Harrison could play for England one day
Newcastle United youngster Alfie Harrison, who’s been labelled the ‘mini Haaland’ per Planet Football, is showing real signs of promise for the reserve side.
Harrison, who joined the Tynesiders from Manchester City earlier this year, is a goalscoring midfielder as evidenced by his statistics.
The 18-year-old has netted 17 goals in 34 outings for both clubs at youth level and is really pushing for a senior debut with Eddie Howe’s men.
Having come through the ranks at City and even training with Pep Guardiola’s side, Harrison is tailor-made to operate in a posession-based team.
Alfie Harrison is very versatile
Versatility is an increasingly popular trait in the modern game and Harrison certainly has it in abundance.
The 2005-born can operate as a number eight, number 10 and even as a right winger, cutting in onto his favoured left foot.
With Newcastle’s lack of depth on the right flank, particularly after the sale of Yankuba Minteh, Harrison may well get a chance to shine in that role.
Miguel Almiron and Jacob Murphy are the only natural right-wingers at the club.
