Newcastle United goalkeeper Karl Darlow is reportedly wanted by Blackburn Rovers – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter wouldn’t mind if he exited St James’ Park this summer.
The 28-year-old has been in the North East since 2014, but played a backup role last season behind Martin Dubravka.
According to Sky Sports, Championship outfit Blackburn want to bring Darlow to Ewood Park and need a replacement for David Raya following his move to Brentford.
The report details that Blackburn are yet to make an opening offer, but he is on their summer radar.
Darlow managed just one first-team appearance last season in an EFL Cup fixture and Dubravka’s excellent form has seen him become the undisputed number one option in net.
It’s unclear on where several Newcastle players will be next season, as they are yet to name a successor to Rafael Benitez as manager.

A selection of Newcastle supporters on social media believe that granting Darlow a move to Blackburn would be a sensible decision, as either Rob Elliot or Freddie Woodman could step up to the number two role.
It’s perhaps the one area of the park that the Magpies can cope with some summer exits, but there is real room for concern in attacking spots.
Here are some of the Newcastle fans commenting on interest in Darlow:
