Newcastle United have been linked with a host of managers in the last week, with Zinedine Zidane the latest to be mentioned when it comes to taking over from Steve Bruce.

Bruce will take charge this weekend. However, he is still expected to leave his role soon enough, with PIF and Amanda Staveley weighing up new managers.

As reported on TBR yesterday, Zidane is one of the names being linked with the job. However, RMC Sport have claimed that the Frenchman has turned his nose up at the job. Instead, Zidane is said to be waiting for the France national team job.

But while Zidane might excite a lot of teams’ fans, The Toon Army didn’t seem to be having any of it. Twitter was full of comments from their supporters reaction to the reports on Zidane. And it’s safe to say a lot are getting fed up with the rumour mill.
