Newcastle fans rip into ‘tragic’ Mohamed Diame after Fulham draw
Newcastle United were held to a goalless draw at home to Fulham on Saturday afternoon – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter destroyed midfielder Mohamed Diame for his performance.
The Magpies were unable to score against a Fulham team that are bottom of the Premier League table and have the worst defensive record in the division by a distance.
Rafael Benitez’s side were missing the creative spark in the final third and it’s been a reoccurring problem for them this season that supporters will pray they try to fix in the January transfer window.
They don’t have long to recover before an extremely daunting trip to Anfield to face leaders Liverpool on Boxing Day.

A selection of Newcastle fans voiced their frustration towards midfielder Diame following his display against Fulham.
The 31-year-old central midfielder is in the centre of the park for his defensive qualities and is a powerhouse with great energy, something that makes him a regular in the starting XI.
But he received a wave of criticism for his quality on the ball against Fulham and Benitez certainly missed Jonjo Shelvey in the midfield.
The Senegalese ace is not the greatest in possession and was sloppy at St James’ Park at the weekend, but the same could be said for several of his teammates.

I’ll never question his work rate, but Mo Diame is nothing short of tragic on the ball. Are his boots made of rock? #nufc #newful

Most frequent things heard on today’s match: Ki with a great diagonal ball, but nobody on the end of it. Diame with a dreadful touch, gives the ball away. #NUFC

I hope Rafa tells Diame not to kick the ball further than 10 yards, it goes in all kinds of directions #nufc

Diame’s inability to pass to a team mate is ridiculous #nufc

I wish Diame had the ability to pass the ball man #nufc

Diame is so bad at getting the ball forward. I mean, we all know it, but dude… #nufc
