Emil Krafth played 67 minutes in the defeat to Liverpool on Saturday afternoon in the Premier League – and some Newcastle United fans on Twitter ripped into him for his performance.
The Magpies suffered a 3-1 loss away at Anfield, but put up a good fight against the reigning Champions League holders.
Steve Bruce’s team took the lead after just seven minutes when Jetro Willems rifled in a shot to the top corner with his weaker right foot.
But Sadio Mane responded with a brace before half-time for the current Premier League leader and Mohamed Salah added a third in the second period.
Krafth had a difficult afternoon in the right wing-back position, as he struggled to deal with the movement of Liverpool’s attack.
The 25-year-old summer addition was caught out by Andy Robertson’s dribbling in the build up to Liverpool’s equaliser.
He also could have made the game 2-2 if his excellent opportunity of a half volley inside the box hadn’t gone flying over the bar.

A selection of Newcastle supporters on social media singled out Krafth for major criticism for his display.
He was taken off in the second-half by Bruce for Javier Manquillo and it looks like he will need to improve to retain his spot in the team.
