Newcastle United youngster Ludwig Francillette posted on Twitter about training with the senior group – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter responded with great excitement.
The 20-year-old defender moved to St James’ Park in the summer and has spent his time so far impressing with Neil Redfearn’s Under-23s side.
He has an incredible rise so far in his career, as a year ago he was playing for a reserve team in the sixth-tier of French football.
The Magpies decided to bring the 6ft 4in colossus to England in the summer, but he’s yet to make his first-team appearance for the club.
Francillette posted on social media a message that he had been training with the first-team squad.
“Made the walk across to train with the first-team. It’s just great to learn and improve around such good players and great pros. I’ll keep working hard to be called upon if and when needed in training,” Francillette wrote on his personal Twitter account.

Francillette will hope a first-team debut isn’t a million miles away and some have suggested he gets a chance next Tuesday in the FA Cup third round replay at home to League One side Rochdale.
The giant centre-back should sniff an opportunity due to the injuries piling up in Steve Bruce’s squad.
A selection of Newcastle supporters are optimistic over the youth team defender and believe he could be due an opportunity.
