Newcastle fans react to Victor Osimhen links
Newcastle United reportedly want Lille striker Victor Osimhen to add firepower to the ranks.
Steve Bruce wants a new striker in the January transfer window and Osimhen is on the radar, according to The Chronicle. Lille only just signed Osimhen for £10.8m but he is already being linked with a move to England.

Newcastle have only scored five goals in the league this season and need a new striker. Joelinton was a big-money purchase in the summer but he has only scored once so far. Andy Carroll and Dwight Gayle have both been injured and have failed to score yet.
Osimhen, on the other hand, is scoring freely in France. With seven goals and two assists in 10 Ligue 1 matches, the Nigeria international is making an impression. He also scored against Chelsea in the Champions League.
The 20-year-old is considered an exciting talent and he netted 20 times in just 36 games for Charleroi before joining Lille. But Newcastle fans are concerned that he is another unproven player in the Premier League.
Here are some tweets from Newcastle supporters reacting to this transfer rumour.

Not learning their lesson on buying unknown foreign players.. Almiron, Linton and Muto all struggling in the League!

Yeah let’s sign another inexperienced forward that needs coaching & give him to a manager that can’t coach and makes them look rubbish
Exactly type of forward we need right now?
Newcastle need balanced policy
And a manager that knows how to get a front 3 working well together

why would he leave a champions league club to go to a team that look nailed on to be relegated

Yes, because signing players from Ligue 1 worked so well for us in the past

Osimhen looks very good but another player that we just won’t get.
