Steve Bruce has suggested that he would like to keep Tottenham Hotspur loanee Danny Rose beyond the end of the season, in comments reported by the Chronicle.
Rose has made five Premier League appearances for Newcastle United after his arrival from Spurs during the January transfer window.

The 29-year-old is arguably yet to show his best form for the Magpies. But Bruce has suggested that he would like to hold onto the defender beyond his loan spell at St James’ Park.
“He is an established quality player,” he said, as reported by the Chronicle.
“We managed to get him through the door and he will be great for the next three months. And hopefully longer after that.”

The Chronicle notes that Spurs may not stand in Rose’s way should an offer come in this summer. He will have 12 months left on his contract at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, and he seemed to be on the periphery of the squad under Jose Mourinho.
Unfortunately for Bruce, his comments do not appear to have gone down particularly well amongst some of the Newcastle fans on social media.
They do not believe that Rose has been a good signing so far. And they are not convinced that he would be a worthwhile addition on a permanent basis.
Several fans have insisted that they would rather see Jetro Willems stay over the Tottenham loanee at this stage.
Here is what some of the supporters made of Bruce’s comments on Rose…
