A number of Newcastle United fans have taken to Twitter to comment on reports from the Daily Mail claiming that the Magpies are eyeing a loan deal for Arsenal midfielder Joe Willock.

Willock appears to be one of the contenders to leave the Emirates in the final hours of the window. The 21-year-old has only made two Premier League starts this season.

And the Daily Mail has suggested that Steve Bruce has made him one of Newcastle’s top targets ahead of the deadline.

The report noted that Arsenal have reservations about loaning Willock out. Ainsley Maitland-Niles is also attracting attention, and it appears that the Gunners may be reluctant to let both go.

Plenty of Newcastle fans however, are hoping that Willock will be allowed to go. Several supporters have insisted that he would be an ideal loan addition.

The youngster – who earns £20,000-a-week, according to Spotrac – has shown a lot of promise during his time in the Arsenal first-team.

And some fans believe that adding him to Newcastle’s squad would make a real difference as they look to build on Saturday’s superb result.
