Newcastle United attacker Joelinton is reportedly attracting interest from Turkish side Fenerbahce – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter have responded by claiming they don’t want him to leave St James’ Park.
The Shields Gazette reports that Fenerbahce have put the Brazilian forward on their transfer list and their manager is exploring the possibility of a loan deal.
It is claimed that it’s unclear on if Newcastle want to keep the 24-year-old or not this summer.
Joelinton didn’t have the first year on Tyneside that many were expecting, as he scored just four goals in all competitions following his £40million (BBC) arrival from German club Hoffenheim.
Steve Bruce’s team struggled in the forward department throughout the season, but they have signed striker Callum Wilson from Bournemouth ahead of the new campaign to try add some firepower.

A selection of Newcastle supporters on social media have responded to the Joelinton rumours to insist he is given a second season with them.
They are suggesting that he should be played in his preferred role, as they don’t believe the central number nine position that he mainly played last season is that.
He’s a physical presence that can link up play well when he drops into a number 10 playmaker role, plus he can be deployed out wide too on either flank.
