Charlie Austin has reportedly been offered to Newcastle United after a falling out with Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhuttl, and Newcastle fans have replied to the striker’s latest Tweet.
The Chronicle claim 30-year-old Austin has been offered to Steve Bruce’s Newcastle, who could be on the lookout for another striker despite completing the £40million signing of Brazilian sensation Joelinton.
Austin is a proven Premier League goalscorer and has netted 34 times in 106 top-flight games for the likes of QPR, Burnley and Southampton. He has now entered the final 12 months of his £70,000-a-week contract (Spotrac).

Newcastle have added Joelinton up front, but their only other striker is Dwight Gayle who has been linked with an exit. Joselu has left the club to join Alaves, while Salomon Rondon has joined Rafa Benitez at Dalian Yifang.
He is likely to be available on the cheap given his current contract situation at Southampton, especially given Southampton only spent £4million to sign the powerhouse striker before the August 8 deadline, as per the Telegraph.
Since the report, Austin has posted on Twitter and the uncapped Englishman has been inundated with replies from Newcastle fans urging him to move north to Tyneside – rather than remain at Southampton.
