Paul Dummett has reportedly suffered yet another injury blow – and some Newcastle United fans on Twitter have responded by suggesting his time in the top-flight could be over.
The 29-year-old is a product of the Magpies academy and he’s played 185 first-team games for Newcastle, but his career has been plagued by a number of different injuries in recent years.
According to the Chronicle, Dummett could be out of action until the end of 2020 after suffering yet another injury.
The report explains that the defender has picked up a hamstring problem as he was looking to work his way back to full fitness.
Dummett, who is yet to play a senior game this season, had recently been involved with the Under-23s team and was working his way back to Steve Bruce’s senior group.
But the left-back is now back at square one and his last first-team game for the club was 11 January.

A selection of Newcastle supporters on social media are doubting whether the Wales international has a long-term future with them and his current deal expires in 2022.
The £35,000-a-week star (Spotrac) is such a valuable part of the squad when fit due to his experience and ability to play in several defensive positions, but his injury luck of late has been horrid.
