A number of Newcastle United fans have taken to Twitter to comment on reports linking the Magpies with a move for Cameron Carter-Vickers this summer.
According to SBI Soccer, Steve Bruce’s side are one of three teams in talks with Tottenham over the 23-year-old.

It is claimed that Bournemouth want to keep the USA international, while Anderlecht are also in discussions over a potential move.
Carter-Vickers – who, SBI Soccer reports, is valued at around £9.9 million – has spent the large majority of his time at Tottenham out on loan.

And interestingly, he has worked with Newcastle coach Graeme Jones on a couple of occasions. So perhaps it should not be a huge surprise to see the Magpies linked.
Nevertheless, it appears that some of the Newcastle fans are not particularly excited about the links.
Carter-Vickers is yet to make his Premier League debut. And he has had a mixed time during his various loan spells in the Championship.
It seems that the Newcastle fans would like the investment used elsewhere. Of course, the hope is that the club can agree some sort of deal that involves Joe Willock returning to Tyneside.
And the fear that is that spending almost £10 million on Carter-Vickers would be detrimental to their hopes of re-signing Willock.
