A number of Newcastle United fans have expressed their concern about Martin Dubravka’s future following Garth Crooks’s suggestion to BBC Sport that Chelsea should look at him.
Dubravka has been an inspired signing for the Magpies. The 31-year-old was superb during his loan spell at St James’ Park. And he has remained one of the most impressive goalkeepers in the Premier League after signing permanently.

He boasts a remarkable record this season. Whoscored.com shows that he has made 102 saves this term, 10 more than any other stopper in the division.
Meanwhile, no goalkeeper has made more saves inside the six-yard box either. Unsurprisingly, he is winning admirers away from Tyneside.

Crooks told BBC Sport that Dubravka is the answer for Chelsea as Frank Lampard looks to address their issues between the sticks.
Obviously, with the January window only just closing and Crooks having no connection to Chelsea, the Newcastle fans are not immediately worried about the Blues making a move for the Slovakian.
However, Crooks’s comments have clearly acted as a reminder for some that Newcastle have to expect a battle to keep Dubravka in the future.
Some are in disbelief that the goalkeeper remains with the Magpies anyway. And they fear that he may look at his options if Steve Bruce’s men cannot make progress in the near future.
Others have insisted that Chelsea should have to pay an eye-watering fee to lure him away.
But there is definitely a sense that Newcastle could be in big trouble should Dubravka end up leaving the club.
Here is how some of the Toon Army reacted to Crooks’s comments on the goalkeeper…
