Newcastle United fans have been having their say on social media today after reports linked them with a move for Real Madrid winger, Eden Hazard.

ESPN report that Hazard has been offered to Newcastle. Along with Chelsea, the Magpies are among the clubs Real Madrid have ‘sounded out’ over a potential deal for the Belgian. It is believed Madrid would let Hazard go in January.

Hazard has endured a miserable time in La Liga since completing a mega-money move from Chelsea. He has managed just over 50 games in Madrid, but scored just five times. Fitness and injury issues have plagued him.

However, Newcastle’s new-found investment from PIF means big names like Hazard are being linked. And the Toon Army have been on Twitter discussing the potential signing of the 30-year-old.

Some feel that the Belgian’s best days are now behind him. However, there’s a large section of Newcastle fans who seem delighted to see players of his calibre being mentioned.
