Newcastle fans react on Twitter to Nabil Bentaleb reports

A number of Newcastle United fans have taken to Twitter to react to reports from the Chronicle suggesting that Nabil Bentaleb is expected to join the Magpies on loan.

Steve Bruce is still awaiting the chance to make his first signing of the January transfer window. However, it appears that that may be about to change.

The Chronicle reports that the Magpies are hoping to seal a loan deal for the Schalke man. He is reportedly expected to complete a move until the end of the season.

The Chronicle notes that Crystal Palace were snubbed by the former Tottenham midfielder, who is yet to play for the Bundesliga side this season.

‘Really classy player’

The supporters appear to be somewhat divided on the reports. Some fans do not believe that another central midfielder is what is needed this month.

Newcastle have suffered two significant injury blows involving Jetro Willems and Paul Dummett. So Bruce is now under pressure to strengthen in other areas.

There are also concerns about how he will get on on Tyneside having fallen out of favour at Schalke and not playing this season.

However, there are also plenty of supporters who are excited about the links. Some believe that Bentaleb has the potential to be a special talent.

And they are hoping that the expected loan move proves to be an inspired piece of business from Bruce’s men.
