Newcastle fans react on Twitter to Brandon Williams interest reports
A number of Newcastle United fans have taken to Twitter to react to reports from the Chronicle claiming that the Magpies want to take Brandon Williams on loan in January.
It would arguably be little surprise if Williams – who earns £65,000-a-week, according to Spotrac – was given the chance to leave Manchester United temporarily in January. He has made just one substitute appearance in the Premier League this term.

That comes after a campaign in which he played 17 times in the top flight.
And the Chronicle reports that Newcastle have joined Southampton in the running to sign the youngster on loan. It is noted that his parent club have no interest in letting him leave permanently because of his potential.

The reports have attracted a mixed response amongst Magpies fans on social media. Some are not best pleased about the prospect of a young player from another Premier League side coming in if it is a loan deal.
Meanwhile, some would clearly rather see Jetro Willems return for a second spell.
But there are plenty who believe that he would actually be a very good addition. He can play in a number of positions. And he has previously shown that he is a real talent. So some would welcome him arriving on Tyneside.
Here is how some of the fans have reacted to the reports…
Would take him like.

Good player and well feisty, not a fan of taking loan only though unless option to buy

He’s versatile which is always great, but if we’re getting someone on loan we may as well go for someone more experienced? Jetro is still available to get back, he fits in great with the squad, and we’ve all seen what he can do when fit

100% behind this transfer… he’s young, has bags of potential and always gives 110% every game, he’s up there with the very best young LB’s and not just the premier league, would love to see him in the black and white but have a feeling Bruce would play him as a striker! 😟
