A number of Newcastle United fans have taken to Twitter after the Daily Mail reported over the weekend that Wolverhampton Wanderers are interested in Allan Saint-Maximin ahead of the summer.
Saint-Maximin has arguably been a revelation since moving to the Premier League in the summer. Admittedly, he has only scored one goal and provided one assist. But he has definitely been a lot more valuable for Steve Bruce’s side than the numbers would suggest.
And if they are going to ensure that they get themselves out of trouble, you would imagine that Saint-Maximin is going to play a crucial role in steering them away from danger during the remaining months of the season.
Unfortunately for the Toon Army, it appears that they may soon face a fight to keep the 22-year-old.
The Daily Mail reports that Wolves have Saint-Maximin on their radar as they brace themselves for interest in Adama Traore.
And it appears that a number of Newcastle fans are resigned to losing the 22-year-old. They believe that he could be forgiven for wanting to head to Molineux.
Wolves are playing in Europe this season. And they have continued to make progress over a number of years. Meanwhile, Newcastle supporters are not convinced that the same can be said about their team.
And thus, it appears that some of the supporters would not begrudge the winger should he set his sights on a move to Wolves at the end of the season.
Here is what some of the fans make of the reports…
He’s worth 50-60 million

Let’s be honest. We’re a stepping stone to better things while Bruce is here.

Might as well go, he’d flourish in a team like that.

If I were him I’d be off in a heartbeat. Very similar to traore mind

I’d be gone like a shot. Wolves have a fast paced attack, perfect for ASM.
