One of Newcastle United’s most important tasks when the summer transfer window opens will be to try and keep hold of Allan Saint-Maximin with the forward apparently attracting a lot of attention from other clubs.

The Daily Mail has recently reported that Saint-Maximin is wanted by all of the Premier League’s top six, as well as Paris Saint-Germain.

And there is also interest from Tottenham. Interestingly however, the Mail has hinted that Spurs may need to think outside of the box if they hope to land the Frenchman.

According to the report, Jose Mourinho looks set to be working with a limited budget this summer. And thus, Spurs could be open to offering the likes of Juan Foyth or Danny Rose plus cash for the youngster.

So unsurprisingly, plenty of the Toon Army have little interest in seeing him swapped for the likes of Foyth or Rose.

In fact, barring Harry Kane, there seems to be few players Spurs could offer in exchange that would leave Newcastle fans feeling that they had got a good deal from Saint-Maximin’s departure.

And some are currently questioning why the wide-man would opt for a move to Tottenham given their current struggles in the top flight.

Here is how some of the Newcastle supporters reacted to the report…
