A number of Newcastle United fans have taken to Twitter to comment on reports from The Sun over the weekend suggesting that Everton have joined the race for Allan Saint-Maximin.

Saint-Maximin is already one of the most popular members of the Newcastle squad following his summer move to St James’ Park.

He has established himself as one of the most exciting talents in the Premier League. Admittedly, he has only scored two goals this term, but he has often been the most impressive performer in Steve Bruce’s squad.

Unsurprisingly, he is attracting attention ahead of the summer. The Sun reported at the weekend that the Toffees are rivalling Crystal Palace for his signature.

It was noted that Saint-Maximin will command a fee of around £30 million. But it is clear that some of the Toon Army want a lot more for the attacker.

Newcastle are in a strong position, with Saint-Maximin signing a six-year deal when he arrived (via BBC Sport).

And the fans are confident that Saint-Maximin will be worth a lot more in the near future. Some have insisted that he should cost at least £60 million.

It is fair to say that the supporters have absolutely no interest in seeing the club sell the Everton target during the upcoming window.
