Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in a move to sign Newcastle United midfielder Sean Longstaff after he swapped agents – and Newcastle supporters are seemingly open to selling the older of the two Longstaff brothers.

Longstaff, 23, has worked his way back into Newcastle’s starting side once again this season, completing 90 minutes in each of Newcastle’s last four Premier League matches. He was excellent in their 2-0 win over Crystal Palace.

The Daily Mail claim Longstaff has swapped agents to that of Neymar main representative – the notorious Pini Zahavi. The report claims that the 77-year-old Israeli will look to take Longstaff away from Newcastle.

It is a bold move for Longstaff, who has been linked with Manchester United in the past – and even touted for a future England call-up. However, injury and a lack of momentum have stunted his progress on Tyneside.

Now, the report claims Zahavi has told those close to Longstaff that he could sort the uncapped England ace a move to Tottenham in the coming months – despite Spurs being well-stocked in the middle of the park.

Newcastle supporters have reacted on Twitter to reports that Longstaff could be on his way to Tottenham in the near future and while many think is he is a good player – others are willing to cash in on their academy product.
