Newcastle United look set to be without Matty Longstaff next season, with Team Talk reporting that the midfielder could walk away from the club in the summer.

The 20-year-old sees his contract expire at the end of the current campaign and several clubs and vying for his signature.

Arsenal, Everton and West Ham are keen Premier League suitors; whilst Inter Milan, Borussia Dortmund and Ajax lead the race on the continent.

Longstaff has only played seven Premier League games for the Magpies this season, scoring twice against Manchester United in the process.

It would seem like his time at Newcastle is coming to an end though and it seems likely that he is growing frustrated with a lack of first-team opportunities.

His departure would be a blow for Newcastle. He has a decent amount of potential and losing a midfielder wouldn’t be ideal for Steve Bruce.

Fans have been debating his potential departure on Twitter and it would seem there is little surprise that the midfielder wants out.

The majority rate him and would wish him well in his next chapter if he was to leave the club.

Here is a selection of tweets from Newcastle supporters in reaction to reports that Longstaff could walk away in the summer.
