Nottingham Forest have gone cold on a move for Newcastle United midfielder Jack Colback, according to Nottinghamshire Live.
The report says that Colback was due at the City Ground for talks today over a deadline day move back to the club with whom he has had two successful loan spells.
But that was under Martin O’Neill and Forest now under Sabri Lamouchi, they do not apparently have the same level of interest in the midfielder.
Apparently, the finances involved in the deal proved prohibitive and the change in the dug-out at Newcastle has handed Colback a fresh start under Steve Bruce.

Many Newcastle fans on Twitter wanted to see Colback leave the club this summer and were frustrated about the latest update which means that he may now be staying for the season.
He may well be left out of the 25-man squad – although Bruce may throw him in to bolster a thin roster – but they are fuming that his move looks to have fallen away at the last.
They clearly want to see the back of Colback on a regular basis, but it looks as if they’ll have to wait a little longer.
