Newcastle United fans have been reacting to a report that midfielder Jonjo Shelvey faces a month out with a hamstring injury.
The 27-year-old is likely to miss the next five matches according to The Daily Mail, which is a big blow for Steve Bruce given how influential he’s been recently.

Shelvey enjoyed a strong finish to 2019, scoring four goals in a six-game period including a sizzling effort against Manchester City at St. James’ Park.
Some of the club’s best results this term have come with the former Swansea City and Liverpool man in the starting XI, and Bruce must now work out how best to replace him.
Extra emphasis may well now be placed on new loan signing Nabil Bentaleb, who joined last week from Schalke.
It could be on him to provide the creativity for the Magpies, with £70,000-a-week star Shelvey (Spotrac) known for his vision in central midfield.

It is important for someone to step up in Shelvey’s absence, with the club only seven points clear of relegation at the moment.
Bruce has been doing a decent job, but the league is tight and a couple more poor results could see them get dragged back into trouble.
