Newcastle United defender Fabian Schar is a serious doubt for the weekend clash with Wolverhampton Wanderers.
According to The Shields Gazette, Schar could miss the televised game against Wolves on Sunday afternoon. The Switzerland international has got a knee injury.
Schar picked up the knee injury in the 1-0 loss against Chelsea last week. Now, Steve Bruce is worried that he will be unavailable this weekend. Bruce might have to reshuffle the pack.

Paul Dummett or Federico Fernandez could come in to replace Schar. Florian Lejeune is back in first-team training but Sunday’s game will probably come too soon for him. The Frenchman has been missing since April and Bruce will not want to rush him back.
Schar’s absence will be felt by Newcastle fans. The 27-year-old has been a key player for Newcastle with his strong performances at the back. Without him, the Toon supporters are worried about keeping Wolves at bay.
Newcastle fans flocked to Twitter to share their concerns after it emerged that Schar is a doubt. Here are some of the best tweets.
