Newcastle United supporters have been reacting to reports the club are interested in signing journeyman striker Emmanuel Adebayor.
As reported by The Sun, the Magpies are one of three Premier League sides chasing the Togo international, the others being Aston Villa and Brighton.

Adebayor, now 35, has been away from English football since leaving Crystal Palace in 2016 after a short and unsuccessful.
The current free agent has also previously played for Arsenal, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur.
Supposedly the veteran wants one last outing the in the English top-flight, with his goal tally in the competition standing at 97 goals.

The Sun add that one of Adebayor’s friends has said he’s keen to surpass Didier Drogba’s haul of 104 strikes and become the highest-scoring African in Premier League history.
The link certainly comes out of the blue, and it remains to be seen if Newcastle pull off what would be a shock deal before Friday’s deadline.
Newcastle fans react
Although Adebayor has obviously scored a lot of Premier League goals in the past, the vast majority of Newcastle fans dismissed the links:
