Newcastle United are reportedly interested in signing RB Leipzig loanee Patrik Schick this summer with the Bundesliga club unlikely to sign the Roma ace on a permanent basis – and Toon fans have responded.
Schick, 24, joined Leipzig on loan at the start of the 2019-20 campaign and has since found the back of the net 10 times in 25 league and cup appearances. He has started just 17 of those 25, completing 90 minutes only five times.
A decent goal return for the Czech Republic international, then, especially given that he is more involved in bringing the likes of Timo Werner, Dani Olmo and Christopher Nkunku into play.

Italian newspaper Gazzetta Dello Sport have claimed that Premier League trio Tottenham, Everton and Newcastle are all interested in signing Schick – after a clause in Schick’s loan deal to make him a permanent signing ended.
Now, the Mail have backed up Newcastle’s interest in Schick – claiming the striker is available for £24million and that Newcastle are interested in signing him whether or not a takeover goes through in the coming weeks.
Newcastle supporters have reacted on Twitter to the reported news that they are rivalling Everton and Tottenham to sign Schick – whether a takeover goes through or not, and many want to see the powerhouse in black and white.
