Newcastle United have reportedly been offered Paris Saint-Germain defender Layvin Kurzawa as the French left-back’s contract with Thomas Tuchel’s side looks due to expire in a matter of weeks – and Newcastle fans have reacted on Twitter.
Kurzawa, 27, is out of contract in June and with Tuchel preferring the services of Spain left-back Juan Bernat, Kurzawa has been limited to appearances here and there. This season, he has played 23 times – 16 of which have been from the start.
Italian outlet FC Inter News have claimed that Newcastle are one of three Premier League clubs that have been offered France international Kurzawa, along with Arsenal and Manchester United. Kurzawa’s wage demands are certainly high.

Indeed, the report claims his agents are trying to secure a huge £100,000-a-week deal – for a whopping five years, taking him through to the age of 32. Newcastle’s new owners will be able to afford such a wage, but it remains to be seen if they are keen.
Jetro Willems remains on loan at Newcastle from Eintracht Frankfurt, with a permanent clause included in said loan. Danny Rose – who is currently in the spotlight for his comments on a return to football – is also on loan, but without a clause.
Newcastle supporters reacted on Twitter to reports that Kurzawa has been offered to Newcastle with the palyer’s contract entering the final six weeks, and many believe he would be a poor signing – with one fan claiming Willems is better.
