Newcastle fans react as club reportedly interested in signing Juventus star Aaron Ramsey

Newcastle are reportedly interested in signing three Juventus players this summer and one of those is midfielder Aaron Ramsey, with the Welshman struggling in his first season with the Old Lady – and Toon fans have responded.

Ramsey, 29, joined Juventus last summer from Arsenal on a free transfer and has since played just 24 times for the Italian champions – starting only half of those. He has scored four goals from midfield, but his form improved before the health crisis.

However, his future at Juventus remains in doubt with Juve expected to shake up their midfield. Miralem Pjanic, Adrien Rabiot and Sami Khedira could all leave the club in the coming months – and Ramsey could also depart.

Italian outlet TuttoJuve reported this month that Newcastle want Ramsey, but they are also interested in France international Rabiot and Brazilian winger Douglas Costa. BBC Sport claim Ramsey is earning an enormous £400,000 a week.

Newcastle boast plenty of options in the middle of the park, in the form of the Longstaff brothers, Jonjo Shelvey, Isaac Hayden and loanee Nabil Bentaleb. But none have the goalscoring stats that Ramsey boasts in the Premier League.

A massive 40 goals and 51 assists in 262 Premier League appearances saw Ramsey establish himself as one of the best British midfielders of his generation. Toon fans think Ramsey would be a top signing for their club.
