Newcastle United could reportedly look to offer Tottenham Hotspur’s Danny Rose an escape route from Spurs and bring him to the north east this month, and Toon fans have reacted to the news on Twitter by urging their club to land Rose.
The Telegraph have claimed that Newcastle are consideirng a move for 29-year-old Tottenham star Rose, with Steve Bruce a fan. Jetro Willems and Paul Dummett have been ruled out for the rest of the season due to injury.
Reports of a bust-up with Jose Mourinho and only one league star since October, Rose is hardly having the time of his life at Spurs. The report claims Tottenham are willing to offload the former Leeds youth player, and are open to offers.
The defender will still believe he has a chance of breaking into Gareth Southgate’s Euro 2020 squad, but he needs game time to achieve that. Newcastle may just present the perfect opportunity, with the Toon said to prefer a loan move.
Rose was supposedly a target for Newcastle and Bruce in the summer but The Toon chose to sign Willems on loan from Eintracht Frankfurt instead. Rose was also linked with a deadline-day move to Watford, but nothing came of it.
With Jan Vertonghen, Ben Davies and Ryan Sessegnon as options at left-back, Rose is hardly going to break his way back into the side and Newcastle fans have reacted on Twitter to the reported news that they could sign the England defender.

I'd go for that. Doubt it'll happen although i know he would ideally be happier in the north from what i understand.
