Newcastle United are reportedly interested in signing Norwich City playmaker Todd Cantwell among five other British Premier League players this summer – and Toon fans are desperate to see the Canaries ace on his way to Tyneside.
Cantwell has been in stunning form for rock-bottom Norwich. Despite the Canaries struggling to cope with promotion to the Premier League, 22-year-old Cantwell has caught admirers for his performances in the top tier of English football.
Indeed, the uncapped English playmaker has scored six goals and laid on two assists. Operating from the left flank, Cantwell has been given a free reign to go on and supply the creativity for Daniel Farke’s side.

Even though Norwich look doomed to suffer relegation – whether the season will finish or not – Cantwell is unlikely to be in the Championship next season. The Liverpool Echo have claimed Jurgen Klopp’s side are keen, and £30million is enough.
But 90Min claim Newcastle’s prospective new owners want Cantwell, as well as Aston Villa’s John McGinn, Manchester United’s Chris Smalling, Manchester City’s John Stones, and two other Norwich stars in Jamal Lewis and Max Aarons.
Newcastle supporters have reacted on Twitter to the reported news that The Toon could look to sign Cantwell in the coming months, and many believe he would be a top addition.
