Newcastle United supporters have reacted on Twitter to reports that Flamengo manager Jorge Jesus has emerged as another potential candidate to replace Steve Bruce on Tyneside – and many are all for the idea.
Jesus, 65, has been in charge of Brazilian side Flamengo since June 2019 and has completely changed the landscape of football in Brazil. Indeed, his tactics of a high press and a high defensive line took Flamengo to the Copa Libertadores title.
The former Benfica and Sporting Lisbon manager also pushed Flamengo into the final of the Club World Cup, taking Liverpool to extra time before Roberto Firmino scored the only goal of the game in the 99th minute to win.

Jesus has enormous experience, managing 13 other sides before Flamengo. He took Benfica to three Premeira Liga titles, and to two successive Europa League finals in 2012-13 and 2013-14. He has a contract at Flamengo until June 1.
Goal claim Newcastle are interested in Jesus, and actually tabled the Portuguese manager an offer last summer following the departure of Rafa Benitez – before owner Mike Ashley eventually inserted Steve Bruce as boss.
Newcastle supporters have reacted on Twitter to the news that the club are now considering Jesus, after first being linked with Mauricio Pochettino, Luciano Spalletti, Lucien Favre, Max Allegri and Rafa Benitez. Many feel he would be a top appointment.
