Newcastle are reportedly looking to sign Lyon wide man Bertrand Traore this summer but face plenty of competition from both Spanish and German clubs – and Toon supporters have responded on Twitter to the news.
Traore, 24, has managed just four goals in 34 appearances for Lyon this season – dropping out of the starting line-up with the Champions League side. Indeed, Traore has failed to replicate the 18-goal season of 2017-18.
A former Chelsea attacker, Traore has two years remaining on his contract at Lyon but it is clear that the 52-time Burkina Faso international may be offloaded this summer – especially with Lyon likely to sell some players in order to raise some cash.

French outlet Foot Mercato has claimed that Newcastle are one of four European sides interested in signing Traore, who clocked up 16 appearances for Chelsea before moving to Dutch side Ajax – scoring four goals for the west London side.
However, Newcastle are not the only side interested in Traore. La Liga sides Sevilla and Real Betis are also keen on Traore, as are German outfit Bayer Leverkusen – who may be in the market to replace wonderkid Kai Havertz this summer.
Newcastle supporters have reacted on Twitter to the reported news that The Toon are after Traore in the coming months, and many feel their side and potential new owners could do a lot better than the African star.
