Newcastle fans react as club linked with Tottenham star

Newcastle United are reportedly interested in signing Tottenham Hotspur defender Danny Rose in a cut-price £15million deal this summer – and Newcastle fans have reacted on Twitter.

The Daily Star have claimed that Steve Bruce has identified the 29-year-old to finally solve Newcastle’s left-back woes, which saw Newcastle sign flop Antonio Barreca in January on loan from Monaco.

Despite making 37 appearances for Spurs in all competitions last season, England international Rose was left out of Tottenham’s pre-season tour in order for the ex-Leeds United star to look for a new club.

Rose is being strongly linked with a move to French champions Paris Saint-Germain. But PSG are also said to be in talks with sending Neymar back to Barcelona, in exchange for cash and a number of Barca players.

That may put PSG off a move for Rose, and Bruce is willing to wait until the end of the month before launching a £15million move to land Rose. Newcastle currently have Matt Ritchie and Paul Dummett in that position.
