Newcastle fans react as club linked with Nice midfielder Wylan Cyprien

Newcastle United supporters have been giving their reactions to reports linking the club with a move for Wylan Cyprien.

According to The Daily Mail, the Magpies have made some enquiries about the Nice star, with Tottenham Hotspur also interested.

Cyprien has played and started all but one game for the club this season, impressing in a holding midfield role for Patrick Vieira’s side.

Despite mainly acting as a defensive shield, Cyprian has also shown attacking qualities by contributing seven goals, and making five assists.

The star, 24, has been with the club since 2016 after transferring from Lens, and has just 18 months remaining on his contact.

The Mail add that he could be available for around £20 million.

Newcastle are a little light in terms of midfield options, and they certainly don’t have anyone particularly mobile at the moment.
